Pettysave and Techpoint Host Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, Canada

Today, February 13, 2020, Pettysave and Techpoint will be hosting the Mayor of Brampton, Ontario, Canada to a town hall meeting.

Since his arrival earlier this week, he has met with some key political and traditional leaders in Nigeria in a bid to foster better international relations between Nigerians and Canadians.

For the town hall meeting, discussions will center on showcasing the best of Nigerian tech startups, highlighting investment opportunities in Canada, and fostering possible collaboration and partnership with the tech startup ecosystem in Canada.

Patrick Brown, the mayor of Brampton is a trained lawyer, youth advocate and former Conservative Member of Parliament. He was also the deputy chairman of the International Young Democrat Union (IYDU) where he represented Canada on several international assistance projects.

The event is open to key stakeholders from the Nigerian tech startup community which includes founders, investors, hubs, digital media and inventors among others. Attendees were screened and selected by Techpoint Africa.
